Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's multilingual film Saaho started off on a great note. The out-and-out action film collected Rs 6.90 crore at the box office on its sixth day (Wednesday). Although the film saw a drop starting from Monday onwards, we can say that it passed the crucial Monday test as Saaho managed to cross the 100 crore mark on its fifth day.

Saaho released on Friday, August 30, and opened at Rs 24.40 crore. The film earned more on its second day (Saturday) by minting Rs 25.20 crore on the third day (Sunday) and Rs 14.20 crore on the fourth day (Monday). The action-entertainer collected Rs 9.10 crore on Tuesday. Thus, the cumulative figures of the Hindi version till date (six days collections) stands at Rs 109.28 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also tweeted the figures on his Twitter handle:

Since Tuesday onwards, Mumbai rains have also affected the city to a major extent. On Wednesday, the entire city was submerged in water. The rains could be counted as one of the reasons for a drop in Saaho's collection.

Saaho boasts of a superlative cast including Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Arun Vijay, and Murali Sharma among others.

After Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, and now Saaho, Prabhas is being termed as a pan-India star. While Saaho is Prabhas' debut Hindi film, this marks Shraddha's debut in Telugu cinema.

While Saaho's box-office report is good so far, the film has found itself entangled in controversy. French director Jerome Salle has accused the makers of plagiarism. Apparently, the director claims, Saaho is a copy of their film, Largo Winch.

Directed by Sujeeth, produced by UV Creations, Saaho released on August 30, 2019.
