The hand injury which Sachin Tendulkar sustained during Mumbai Indians' victorious Indian Premier League campaign is not expected to keep him away from the forthcoming Champions League T20 tournament in India.
“I have had surgery on my hand for the injury I sustained during the IPL match in May. I have already started batting in the nets since the last 10 days and I am looking forward to the Champions League,” said Tendulkar. Reportedly, Tendulkar went under the knife in London in July.

The Champions League which will involve IPL and domestic T20 teams from other countries, will be played from September 21 to October 6.
Mumbai Indians under Rohit Sharma won their maiden IPL title in May, but did not have the services of Tendulkar towards the end of the tournament. Tendulkar injured his hand while batting in the May 13 IPL game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium.
The IPL champions will look to win their second Champions League.u00a0Tendulkar has retired from limited overs cricket and will only feature in Test cricket. His next Test challenge comes in South Africa later in the year when he will become the first man to play 200 Tests.
