Mumbai Indians fans will be disheartened to know that iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar may be out of action for sometime.

Tendulkar has posted an image of his injured finger on a micro blogging site today. He also tweeted, “Finger still not looking good. Had to aspirate blood from my finger twice in 4 days.”

Tendulkar, who injured his finger during Mumbai Indians’ first encounter of IPL’s fifth season against Chennai Super Kings, is likely to miss their next encounter against the Deccan Chargers also.

He sustained the injury on his left hand while fending off a Doug Bollinger delivery in the 9th over of the innings. Though he faced the next ball, it was clear he was in discomfort and retired hurt on 16.

However, it was not clear at the time whether it was fracture or a bruise. He subsequently missed the next game against Pune Warriors at Wankhede Stadium that Mumbai lost by 28 runs.

After posting the picture of his finger, Sachin wished his Team India mate Yuvraj Singh, who returned to India today. He tweeted, “Yuvi- Got well soon. Welcome back home my brother after winning a tough battle with cancer.”

So fans who were hoping to see the master blaster in action, after he recently reached the landmark of 100 international centuries, now have to wait.u00a0
