The life of an Indian classical musician isn't that easy. Recalling an incident, Ustad Zakir Hussain told CS, "Sitar players often develop grooves in their hands.

I was once sitting with Ustad Vilayat Khan sahib and I saw him cutting his hand. I asked him what he’s doing and he said ‘naya groove bana raha hoon’. He was actually cutting his finger open so that the string would fit in it.

Such sacrifices are done in the name of preserving culture and we go and pay 3.5 crores for a Bollywood star to attend 20 minutes of a wedding!”
