Muzaffarnagar: A sage has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl at Kailen Puri here, police said today.
SHO of Purkazi police station, Charan Singh, said the girl, kidnapped on November 3, was released from the clutches of Anand Das alias Sanjiv Sharma from Ahmadnagar (Maharashtra).

Both of them were brought here yesterday and the ascetic has been booked under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of IPC and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, he said.
According to the girl, the sage kept her at a secluded place in Maharashtra for several days and allegedly raped her, Singh said.
