With half a dozen films in the pipeline, you seem to be the busiest heroine today.
Being busy is ... uh, I don't know anything else. This is my life. Currently, I am working with actors with whom I've dreamt about working with since I was a child.

What appealed to you about Ra.One?

Just the fact that Shah Rukh wanted me to be a part of his magnum opus that will make history as one of the biggest films in Indian cinema. Shah Rukh and I together is pretty huge in itself. I play a young, glamorous and fun-loving mum who is doing a thesis on the 'bad' words used in India. She wants to know why the gaalis start from 'teri maa ki' and 'behen ki' and not from 'bhai ki' and 'baap ki'. This character was Shah Rukh's idea. My character has elements of comedy and spice.

Who is your favourite superhero?
Superman was super. But I am not really into superheroes.

How has your relationship with Shah Rukh changed over the last 10 years?
Shah Rukh is as energetic and warm as he was when I first met him. He has been Karisma's hero in Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Both Saif and I are very fond of Shah Rukh and Gauri. He is like family to me. We have a wonderful relationship based on a lot of respect. He has seen me since I was very young. He is such a visionary and achiever.

You are doing a mujra in Agent Vinod.
The Sarojji-choreographed mujra is a first for me. The mujra will fascinate the viewer; they haven't seen one in a long time. Agent Vinod is going to be the coolest film -- tasteful, fun and commercial. It has intelligent minds at work: Sriram (Raghavan) and Saif.

Are you performing any stunts in Agent Vinod?
In Agent Vinod, I will be doing relatively more stunts than Ra.One because there are gunshots and some running around in the film. I kept telling Saif that we should have done a love story together but he told me 'Agent Vinod is a Bond film and I need a superstar in the movie. So just be that, and try to smile your way through'. Saif has told me that if this film becomes a big hit he is going to slap me because I've troubled him throughout saying, 'No I don't want to run, I don't want to do action.' I am just too feminine, I enjoy romance and dance.

How do you feel about your wax statue?
It's not sunk in because the thought scares me.  But it's a huge honour. It makes me feel that whatever I have done has been loved; and that's a good feeling.

Excited about Karisma's comeback?
She is the original diva, she has always been somebody I have looked up to and loved. Obviously, I am very excited. I want her to do many more films.

Will you tie the knot in 2012?
People are speculating but we have never confirmed anything. We will be the first to tell the press as and when it happens. Right now, there are no plans.

Were you close to Saif's father, the Nawab of Pataudi?
I have shared a few wonderful moments with him. He was a charming and magnetic personality; his death has left a very big void in the house. But Sharmilaji is a very strong and practical woman. Everyone has to cope with the loss, Saif has also been very brave and strong about it. To lose a parent at any age is terrible.
