Salman Khan's love for dogs is well known. On Wednesday, the 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' actor tweeted heart-wrenching pictures of him with his pet dog Veer. Salman slipped into a nostalgic mode and remembered the night Veer passed away two months ago.

The first picture shows Salman with his late canine friend, who is lying on a rug on the floor, while in the second one, he is seen holding Veer's paw which has his signature bracelet on.

While sharing the second picture, Salman tweeted, "Abt 2 months ago . Nite veer passed away."

Recently, when Salman received news about his pet dog Sandy being unwell, he decided to put the shoot of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' on hold and fly back home to Mumbai from Rajasthan for a day.

Salman has also had two Bull Mastiffs — Myson and Myjaan. After Myson's death in 2009, Myjaan took ill a few months later and passed away. It is said that his debut production venture, 'Chillar Party', was a tribute to his own dogs. The film was centered on a bunch of kids doing unbelievable things to save their society dog from the clutches of the municipal corporation.

In 2011, Salman donated a photograph with his two pets to the Bombay Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) to spread awareness about animal welfare.
