Salman's Tiger crosses Rs 200 crore mark

Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' continues to break records. After becoming the fastest film to reach the Rs 100 crore mark and getting the biggest opening for any Salman film, it's now crossed the magical Rs 200 crore mark.

Unfortunately, it still has some way to go to beat Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots' because the Rs 200 crore mark has been arrived at after computing the domestic as well as overseas Box Office returns of the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif-starrer.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh made this announcement on Twitter on Monday.

He wrote on the micro-blogging site, “Ek Tha Tiger 12-day total of, approximately, Rs 175 cr net is from India alone. Overseas total is *not* included. He added, “India + Overseas combined biz *after 2nd Weekend* is Rs 210 cr +. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.”

Adarsh further added, “India Rankings TOP 3:- No 1 – 3 Idiots [202 cr net], No 2 – Ek Tha Tiger [175 cr net, still counting], No 3 - Bodyguard [148 cr net].”

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ may not have yet beaten Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ in terms of Box Office collections in India. But with the Kabir Khan-directed film is still running strong and with no competition in sight it’s seems only a matter of time before the Tiger pushes the 3 Idiots to 2nd place. u00a0

Other records set by 'Ek Tha Tiger'

It has the highest-ever opening day collection in Bollywood history: Rs 32 crores.

This is Salman's fourth consecutive Rs 100 crore+ grossing film. The others are Dabangg, Bodyguard and Ready.

The film is the fastest to reach the Rs 100 crore mark

This is the biggest opening of Salman’s film ever, and broke the record of Bodyguard, which raked in Rs 87 crore in the first five days.
