Jayantilal Gada of PEN India and South superstar Vishal have joined hands for Sandakozhi 2, the sequel to the 2005 hit Sandakozhi. After making its mark in Hindi and Gujarati cinema, the esteemed production house is venturing into Tamil cinema with the actioner. The teaser of Sandakozhi 2 was recently launched amid much fanfare in Malaysia, in the presence of Vishal and director N Lingusamy.

Vishal enjoys a strong fan following in the country, which is home to millions of Tamilians. Given his immense popularity there, the makers decided to launch the trailer in Malaysia. The project also holds a special place in the actor's heart as it marks the 25th film of his career. Jointly produced by Vishal's banner, Vishal Film Factory, and PEN India, the movie also stars Kirti Suresh, Varalakshmi, Suri and Tamil actor Rajkiran in a pivotal role. While a major chunk of the action fest has been shot, the next schedule will be filmed in Karaikudi.
Gada promises that staying true to Vishal-starrers that are pure action fests, Sandakozhi 2 will boast of high-octane action scenes.
