Having won acclaim for his act in Netflix anthology Lust Stories, Sanjay Kapoor says he's raring to go in his second innings

His recent outing in the Netflix anthology, Lust Stories, has made Bollywood see Sanjay Kapoor in new light. Elated at the string of offers coming his way, the actor reveals he has begun work on Akash Goila's Badhab, a thriller that sees him in a double role.
"The response to Lust Stories has been heartening," says Kapoor. At a special screening of niece Janhvi Kapoor's Dhadak for B-Town folk, the actor found himself being showered with praise. "I wanted to congratulate Meghna Gulzar for the success of Raazi, but she was praising me instead!"

Kapoor featured in Dibakar Banerjee's short film in the anthology, which had Manisha Koirala and Jaideep Ahlawat as co-stars. "I had never met Dibakar till I was cast for Lust Stories. He is synonymous with a certain kind of cinema — the kind that I had never attempted before."
The actor adds that he didn't fully understand the power of digital medium until he saw the runaway success of Lust Stories. "It was a new medium for me, but now I am open to more such offers."
