Ekta Kapoor visits Kedarnath set in Uttarakhand, treats cast and crew to goodies from the city

Although producer Ekta Kapoor prefers to keep an arm's length from her film set in a bid to give directors a free rein over their projects, she decided to sneak in on cousin Abhishek Kapoor's set in Uttarakhand, where he's currently filming Kedarnath.

A source says, "She met the team, including lead actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan. She also visited the holy temple of Kedarnath for darshan." Kapoor is pleased with the way the romance-drama is shaping up. She tells mid-day, "With Kedarnath, Gattu [Kapoor] will take the audience on an emotional journey. The film is overwhelming and meaningful, and is the kind of immersive cinema we need today."

Kapoor's arrival, says a source, revived the energy on set. "The homesick got a taste of Mumbai food with the goodies she brought. Filming Kedarnath has been tough, but the visuals of the location are being captured the way Gattu envisioned them. The location is crucial, so the team is minimising the photos being taken to reduce chances of a leak."
