Actress Sara Loren was supposed to be a showstopper at Purvi Doshi’s show at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week, but she was apparently replaced by Sonal Chauhan and informed about the same at the last minute.

If a source close to the actress is to be believed, the organisers wanted a more known face on the ramp and this is why Sonal Chauhan was roped in instead. “Sara Loren was asked to be the showstopper for designer Purvi Doshi’s show on Thursday last week, but on Wednesday night, she was told that she needn’t come in for the show. Turns out that Sonal Chauhan had been finalised as the showstopper,” says a source.

The source adds that the show’s organisers were apparently not keen on Sara as the showstopper. “They wanted a more known face to be on the ramp and this is why they were approaching other actresses. Then Sonal agreed to be the showstopper but she did not want any other actress to walk along with her. So Sara was dropped from the show,” she added.

Sara’s spokesperson confirmed that the actress was informed about the replacement at the last minute.
