Sardar Singh for FIH Player of the Year

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) yesterday shortlisted India skipper Sardar Singh for the 2012 Player of the Year award, alongside Australia's Jamie Dwyer, Germany's Moritz Furste and Tobias Hauke and Netherlands' Robert van der Horst.

Sardar has been part of the FIH World XI for the last two years. FIH will announce the name of the winner on Saturday at during the Champions Trophy semi-finals.
