“The suspects took Rs 10.72 lakh in instalments from Kambli for getting the loan sanctioned. They even gave him bogus fixed deposit (FD) certificates to show that he had enough cash security. Later, they told him that the loan was sanctioned and gave him demand drafts, which too were bogus,” sub-inspector BM Dayma of the Deccan Gymkhana police station said. u00a0Apart from duping Kambli, the accused also tried to withdraw money from his wife’s account by forging her signature. u00a0
