Three three-year-olds--Secret Service, Astapi & Stromboli--are among the seven horses in the fray for the Mayor's Trophy, a seven-furlong affair for class III horses, which is slated as the feature event of Thursday's seven-race card. The first-named, trained by Faisal Abbas and to be ridden by C Rajendra, is tipped to win the event form the last-named who is likely to run a big race despite an 11-month lay-off.

For the best bet of the afternoon, I nominate Emerging Star (C Rajendra up) for the lower division of the Furioso Plate; while Borderline from Magansingh Jodha's yard, who will most likely give rookie rider Shammi Khan his first taste of victory this season, attracts as a good bet in the last race of the card.

First race at 2.30 pm.
