'Secret Superstar' Celeb Movie Review: Aamir Khan's film 'heart-touching' for Bollywood
On a late Tuesday night, amidst the festivity galore, Aamir Khan held a special preview of his upcoming film 'Secret Superstar' for Bollywood. Many prominent personalities from B'town and Aamir's dear friends made it to the special screening in Mumbai. Along with Aamir Khan, who played the perfect host, was accompanied by his mother Zeenat Hussain, wife Kiran Rao and director of the film, Advait Chandan at the screening.

The preview witnesses team 'Dangal's reunion as Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Secret Superstar's protagonist Zaira Wasim (who played the younger Geeta in Dangal), director Nitesh Tiwari, Aparshakti Khurana, were all gathered under one roof. A perfect Kodak moment!
Present at the screening were ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Ajinkya Rahane along with wife, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, Director Rajkumar Hirani, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Anu Malik to name a few.

'Secret Superstar' received a thumbs up for its heart touching content. All those present at the screening shared overwhelming response to the film. Here are a few responses shared by the celebrities:
Terming Aamir's films always to be "really special", father of Indian Cricket - Sachin Tendulkar said, "In this film, there is a very strong message. Few days ago I had mentioned that dreams don't discriminate and Secret Superstar is exactly the same. There is a small girl who wants to achieve her dreams and this movie will surely touch our hearts. The way everyone has performed, it's outstanding. This movie has a strong message and I am sure it's going to be a big hit…" He further wished luck to the entire team of the film and added, "Aamir and the entire cast all the very best. This is one more Aamir special movie but what Zaira has played is really really special, she has a long way to go."
B'town veteran Javed Akhtar was happy that the movie touched his expectation. "I found it the way I was hoping it to be. Aamir Khan makes only good films out of compulsion. Aamir's character is quite intriguing. Zaira Wasim who is playing the main character has done a really good job."
"I loved it way too much it left me as you can see with moist eyes. The subject is very good, Zaira has performed very well. Ensemble cast' performances are really good. It is a heart touching film passing on a very strong message on girl child and for mothers," shared Shabana Azmi.
Falling short of words, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani said, "I have no words. Such pure, inspiring and hugely entertaining. Aamir was fun quotient to the film, who is extraordinary. You must watch the film. Zaira is just extraordinary, simply extraordinary".
Rocking the charts with his excellent acting chops, Rajkummar Rao, too, was clean-bowled after watching 'Secret Superstar'. He said, "Very inspiring and very natural. Aamir sir has done a really good job he is so funny. Amazing it was the way he has portrayed himself."
Siddharth Roy Kapur shares, "Haven't cried this much in a movie in a really long time as you might be able to see from my eyes but it is one of those wonderful emotional and also really funny films that come along rarely but one of the films that you just cannot afford to miss."
The film is based on a teenage girl named Insia, played by Zaira Wasim, who sets out to follow her dream of being a singing superstar under the confinement of anonymity. It also received a standing ovation in its first cut screening from distributors and exhibitors.
Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, 'Secret Superstar' is written and directed by Advait Chandan. The film is slated to release on October 19, 2017.
