Sarvesh Kumar Singh (50), who was deployed in the security of Tourism Minister Vinod Singh, allegedly shot himself dead with his service revolver in his quarters at the Kalidas residence of the minister in Hazratganj area, police said. Police suspect family dispute as a motive behind the suicide.

Sarvesh, who hailed from Rae Bareilly, went to his home on Tuesday and returned late night. The body had been sent for post mortem and a case was being registered in this regard, police said.
