Los Angeles: World No 1 tennis star Serena Williams' representative has dismissed reports suggesting the tennis ace is engaged to rapper Drake, insisting they aren't even dating.

The stars hit headlines in August when they were spotted kissing at a Cincinnati, Ohio restaurant and last month (Sep15), Drake, 28, was spotted cheering on Serena at the US Open in New York, reported People magazine.

He also had a front row seat at the sportswoman's HSN Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week, while she returned the favour days later by joining the "Started From The Bottom" rapper at the opening of his new restaurant in Toronto, Canada.

"They are simply longtime friends," a representative for Williams said in a statement.
