Bollywood superstar and co-owner of Trinbago Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan has welcomed the return of Caribbean Premier League to their home ground of Queen's Park Oval.

Looking ahead to the start of the 2016 CPL campaign, Shah Rukh said, "We're counting down to the start of CPL, which I believe will be the biggest party in cricket. We have assembled some of the best players from the West Indies and across the world this year and I know our players are raring to step out on to the field and represent Trinidad & Tobago with pride. I know we can count on the full support of the Trinbago fans to cheer TKR as we commence the defence of our title."

The Trinidad and Tobago franchise, which was called Red Steel till last year, clinched the CPL for the first time in 2015 after defeating the Barbados Tridents in the final at their home ground of Queen's Park Oval

The reigning champions have also announced the sale of tickets online for their fans for all home games in the forthcoming 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on www.cplt20.com.  The ticket office at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad, too has opened from Monday.

TKR will launch their defence of the CPL title against St. Lucia Zouks on June 29 and will play four night games in total between June 29 – July 4.

TKR will once again be led by the Dwayne Bravo and will include explosive Kiwi batsman Brendon McCullum – one of a trio of New Zealanders in the panel alongside Colin Munro and Anton Devcich. The Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) franchise will also include off-spinner Sunil Narine, following his recent transfer from Guyana Amazon Warriors, as well as the likes of Sulieman Benn who was a key part of the West Indies squad who lifted the ICC World Twenty 20 title in India back in March.

In addition, TKR will be able to call on the experience of Proteas star batsman Hashim Amla and Pakistan's Umar Akmal. The Under-19 berth will be filled by Anderson Phillip.

The TKR squad has a wealth of experience to draw from in their dugout in the form of their chief mentor Jacques Kallis. They will be coached by Simon Helmot.

Trinbago Knight Riders Home Fixtures (all times local): June 29 – St. Lucia Zouks (9pm), July 1 – Barbados Tridents (9pm), July 2– Guyana Amazon Warriors (9pm), July 4 – Jamaica Tallawahs (7pm).
