Week-long revelry at Pataudi palace to mark Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan's tot Taimur's birthday; SRK, KJo, Ranbir on guest list
From a Peppa Pig-themed party to a lavish do in a city five-star, rumours about Taimur Ali Khan's birthday celebrations have set social media abuzz. As Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's tot readies to turn one on December 20, grandfather Randhir Kapoor reveals that preparations for celebrations at the family's Pataudi Palace in Haryana are underway. "The family will be present at the party. Saif and Kareena want to instil the right values in their children. The boy may have been born to renowned stars, but, must share a close bond with the family," Kapoor tells mid-day from Singapore.

His happiness at the do being organised at the family palace is evident as he enlists the guests for the evening. "Taimur's grandmother [Sharmila Tagore] will join us. Karisma [Kareena's actor-sister] and her kids, Samaira and Kiaan Raj, are also excited." Although Khan has already purchased a jeep to mark Taimur's first birthday, Kapoor says that the family is yet to zero in on a gift.

Another member of the Kapoor family says, "We plan to fly down to the palace by mid-December to start a week-long celebration. Friends of Kareena and Saif will also be present. Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar plan to arrive with their kids, AbRam and twins Roohi and Yash. Even Ranbir [Kapoor] and Sara [Ali Khan] plan to make it in time." The munchkin will certainly be dressed in the best, but, the source adds that the family is keeping his comfort at the forefront. "The attire is yet to be finalised, but Taimur might be seen in a baby tux."
Kareena, the source adds, has ordered a special chocolate cake from her favourite patisserie. "The chefs who've served at the palace for several years will prepare a royal meal. The grandeur will be in line with the Pataudi tradition."
