Actress Shilpa Shetty, who is making her debut as a producer with the action-thriller ‘Dishkiyaoon’, is turning out to be quite adept at handling crisis situations. Sources say that Shilpa recently stepped in to take charge when a problem cropped up during the film’s shoot.

“Ayesha Khanna, who makes her acting debut with this film, was required to do an intimate scene with the male lead, Harman Baweja. But Ayesha’s parents, who stay in Delhi, were understandably apprehensive about the same and were reluctant to let their daughter shoot these love-making scenes. When Ayesha informed Shilpa about this, the actress-turned-producer, who considers herself Ayesha’s mentor, flew to Delhi to meet Ayesha’s parents and persuaded them to let their daughter shoot the required scenes.”

Confirming the news, Shilpa says, “Yes, it is true that I travelled to Delhi to convince Ayesha’s parents. I can understand their apprehensions, as this is their daughter’s first film. When Ayesha told me about their misgivings, I decided to accompany her to Delhi to meet her parents and convince them about the scene.”

Ayesha, on her part, says that she is grateful to Shilpa for all her support. Directed by Sanamjit Talwar, the film stars Sunny Deol, apart from Ayesha Khanna and Harman Baweja.
