Angoori Bhabhi fame Shilpa Shinde from 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai' is back on the screen after a hiatus and this time she hasn't returned to the small screen, but on the big screen. That too with Bollywood veterans Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. She doesn't have a prominent role in 'Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi', but she has done an item song in the movie. The song 'Line Maro' from the film has been released today.

Shilpa Shinde told Jagaran.com that she is happy to be part of the film. Shilpa says, "When I was offered this song and was told that it is an item number, I had refused to do it. But the makers of the film convinced me saying that though the song is a dance number, there will be nothing vulgar. Also, a choreographer like Ganesh Acharya was associated with this song. Big names like Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal are there too. That's why I said yes."

Shilpa says the song was offered to her when she was in the midst of the controversy with Binaifer Kohli. Shilpa regrets that she didn't get time to work on herself. Or else, she would have worked on her body and made herself fit for the song. But she didn't have the time. Shilpa says, "I had asked the makers that when they could have taken someone else, why did they want only me?". They told Shilpa that they wanted her because of her fan-following and that people would be seeing her in such an avatar for the first time.

Shilpa Shinde says she is happy to share screen space with Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, even though it was for a short time. She told her whole story to them. They told Shilpa that she has been doing a good job and should continue to do so.

Shilpa says, recently, the way Kangana Ranaut has brought out many truths about the industry and that too, very frankly, she felt as if she herself is speaking. "Everyone should have courage like Kangana. But very few people would have the courage to spill the beans about the industry while working in it. I have already suffered a lot. My fight with CINETAA still continues." Shilpa says actors feel insecure because if they don't tell the truth, they will not get the next job. "They keep mum out of helplessness," says Shilpa Shinde.

"What Kangana spoke about the film industry, I told the same about TV. But nobody supports people who tell the truth," says Shilpa Shinde.
Talking about participation in 'Bigg Boss', Shilpa Shinde says, "Yes, they have been offering me since last year. But I'm not among those who run behind money. I can't be part of such shows. I am not greedy about TRPs. I will never be part of such shows."

"I had recently received many dance number offers," says Shilpa. But Shilpa concluded by clearly saying that she will not return to daily soaps.
