The actor was particularly uncomfortable about kissing Natasha in front of his director-father. Darshan, who has worked with superstars like Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Sunny Deol wanted the scenes to look authentic.
The director did not let his personal relationship with his son come in the way of filming. He convinced Shiv to deliver an earnest performance.
Darshan says, "An actor has to shed his fears and inhibitions to triumph, and in such a genre, the chemistry is important. Else it will look fake." On hearing this advice, Shiv put up a great performance, and became the lover boy that every girl would want.
Sources claim that after having received the advice from his father, the actor was more at ease. The passionate scenes in Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha even took Darshan by surprise when the film came to the editing table.
Made under the banner of Shree Krishnaa International, Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha releases on Friday, June 30.
