After the news on how Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra will be supporting the remake of the iconic Sholay for promotions and media activity, makers of the same have now approached Jaya Bachchan and Hema Malini to be a part of their promotions as both the actresses played memorable characters in the original classic.

However, the makers of Sholay 3D are aware of the fact that Jaya Bachchan prefers to stay away from the limelight and media publicity. Nonetheless, they are still keen to have her presence during the film’s promotion. Given Sholay’s cult status, the producers wish to have the support of the actors who were the cast.


As of now, Big B and Dharmendra have given their nod, the makers are awaiting Jaya’s and Hema’s approval. When contacted, producer Jayantilal Gada, explained the reason behind seeking support from the original star cast. “Yes, we will be approaching Jayaji and Hemaji to promote the movie.

Besides, it’s not a competitive movie and we are approaching the entire star cast of the movie to promote it. Also, we are inviting the industry to watch it. We have two movies releasing back-to-back and then we have Sholay releasing on January 3.”u00a0
