Do your bit for the lesser privileged when you shop at Smiledrive.in since proceeds from every product sold go to charity

Shop and make someone smile

We’ve all thrived on retail therapy but here’s an avenue where you can share smiles with lesser-privileged people around you. Part of the proceeds of every product sold on e-commerce site Smiledrive.in will go to an Indian charity.

Started by 31-year-old Sayak Sahu and 32-year-old Pradeep Mohindroo; Sahu says, “We were a bit tired of our desk jobs and thought that this was the right time to become entrepreneurs. Also there are various instances when people who aren’t from our country, come here and work for a cause, we thought why not do it ourselves.”

Sahu, who is a media lawyer and Mohindroo, a marketing professional in an advertising agency, then pooled in their experience and started Smiledrive, which Sahu terms as a marriage between e-commerce and social responsibility.

The duo collaborates with NGOs working for different causes such as child rights, empowering the visually challenged and others, as they do not wish to work for just one cause.

The product range on the site though does not fall into particular categories and looks rather confused, as they stock different kinds of pen drives, card holders, with a wine pourer and an indoor golf kit mixed in, too. We liked their flexible camera tripod, which is portable and great for those who love taking pictures everywhere and the Swiss army knife with a pen drive too has great utility value.
