After working together in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, singer Raghav has been handpicked by AR Rahman for his upcoming untitled Hollywood film. The Mozart of Madras chose the crooner to sing the popular Ishq Shava number from Yash Chopra’s final film.u00a0

Speaking about the project for which Rahman is slated to provide the background score, the R&B singer says, “It’s a surreal feeling to work with him. He was the one who thought I’d do justice to the film. He’s very spontaneous and I feel lucky to be associated with the maestro.”

Rahman, who is known for giving a break to unknown talent, met the Canada-based singer for the first time when the latter visited him in Dubai. “I went to meet Rahman sir in his studio there. At that point, he was looking for someone to sing this catchy track and he wanted a different voice. I was hoping to have a cup of coffee with him but I ended up singing for Shah Rukh Khan in my debut Hindi film!”

Talking about his future projects, the singer says, “I’m in talks with some filmmakers here at the moment though I feel that the concept of copyright is a bit skewed here. People assume copyright means the right to copy others! I never compromise on artistic integrity no matter what, so the plan is to do good work.”u00a0
