Singing in the rain

With rains hitting the city once again, musician Taufiq Qureshi is all geared up for a rain concert this weekend.

Taufiq tells CS, "Rain is one season in India that brings out all possible emotions in an individual. And we try and capture these emotions in the concert every year.

This time the focus will be on Bhakti, romance, and anger. In fact, the spotlight is on the feeling of bhakti (devotion)." He adds, "Romance and rains are inseparable, and hence can't be avoided.

This time we have made a special piece, which gives a brief introduction about monsoon as a season. It will be played at the opening of the concert and I am very excited about it."
