A detonator explosion has injured six personnel of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) in Srinagar. The explosion took place inside Srinagar's Parimpora Police Station late on Tuesday evening

The injured have been admitted to the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for treatment. Some of them were operated upon for grave injuries.u00a0


Deputy Inspector General of Police of Kashmir’s Central Range Afatul Mujtub said: “Six police personnel have been injured. They were removing the detonator of a grenade to deprime it.


While defusing it, the detonator exploded, which has led to minor injuries to the six personnel of the BDS (Bomb Disposal Squad).” u00a0
