All eyes will be on six-year-old Musheer Khan asu00a0 he makes his debut for Anjuman-I-Islam Allana (English) in the Mumbai School Sports Association's (MSSA) Giles Shield Elite Division at an age when kids find it hard to even lift a bat.

The left arm spinner and a right handed batsman can't wait to start firing in the tournament that gets underway at Cross Maidan today. Anjuman-I-Islam play Shailendra Education (Dahisar) in their opening encounter.

"This is the first big tournament that I will be part of. I just want to go there and have fun. I am not thinking of breaking any records right now," said the class two student .
But his coach Iqbal Thakur is already worried about Musheer's future and feels MSSA's rule that bars players from participating in Giles Shield formore than three years will hamper Musheer's career. Musheer will be just nine years old when he will be inelligible to play Giles Shield.
"I'm not against the rule, but in the process even players who are eligible to play cannot. By coming out with this rule they are just hampering careers of a lot of young players who start early like Musheer," added Iqbal.
