Sri Lanka is considering changes to the administration of cricket in the country based on a set of proposals put forward by the former chief of the International Cricket Council (ICC)
Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage said that he is keen to see the implementation of the report submitted by former ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
Among the recommendations made in the report is for the selection of the national team to be fully in the hands of the selectors with no political interference.
The report also highlights the need to change the existing constitution of the cricket board, saying it does not conform to global practices.
