Buzz is that when Umesh signed her for the film last year, he was willing to adjust her dates. In fact, it was he who cajoled her into acting again because of their old association. Apart from her soap outings, Smriti has earlier featured in the Hindi film Maalik Ek as well as in a Telugu film Jai Bolo Telangana. Umesh’s film is her first major role in Bollywood.
