An Indian Army soldier was killed and another injured as Pakistan Army violated ceasefire along the line of control (LoC) in Kupwara district in Kashmir on Saturday, police said

Srinagar: An Indian Army soldier was killed and another injured as Pakistan Army violated ceasefire along the line of control (LoC) in Kupwara district in Kashmir on Saturday, police said.

“Gunman Harshit Batoriya was killed and Mankamla injured due to the firing. The injured soldier has been rushed to hospital. The firing has stopped,” the official said.

Security increased for Board exams
With the annual board exams set to begin next week amid unrest in the Valley, police on Saturday said adequate security measures are being put in place during the exercise.
