Shotgun Junior spotted the puppy in the vicinity of the sets where she was shooting for her film that has Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt as her co-stars. And Sona and Simba remained inseparable.u00a0Says a unit source, “While shooting for the film, Sonakshi spent most of her free time playing and taking care of Simba, a Rottweiler puppy.”

Adds the source, “There was a place close to the shooting location in Patiala where Rottweiler puppies were being breeded. As Sonakshi is a dog lover (she had a pug as a pet before) she visited the place. When she saw this puppy she loved him so much that she immediately developed a special connection with him. She took him on the sets and named the pup Simba.

Whenever she got some time off from her shoot she would be with the pet as well as the other puppies. It was like her baby, she even wanted to adopt him.” In the past, Sonakshi had stated on her micro-blogging about her pet dog Nancy who passed away two years ago as well as of her other pet dog Kuro, who she described as “kaala hai par dilwala hai” and having a penchant for only chewing her dad’s (Shatrughan Sinha) shoes.u00a0
