India, fielding a second string team with a lot of junior players, have been struggling to find form. They beat minnows Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, but lost to Pakistan 1-2 in the league stages.
Pakistan will be eyeing a hat-trick of SAG hockey titles having won it twice before, beating India in the 2004 and 2010 finals.
