After a two-day long battle, Sri Lankan Anuruddha Meddegoda triumphed over a field of 70 poker players who participated in the main event of the India Poker Championship held recently at the Casino Royale, Goa.
A graduate from the London School of Economics, this was the Sri Lankan national’s first attempt at the prestigiousu00a0title which he grabbed by defeating Aditya Agarwal and Sikandar Berry, the last-named eventually ending up as runner up.
