If you are an '80s kid, chances are you have aped Sridevi's Hawa Hawai moves. Or been awed by her acting prowess in Sadma. Such is the impact of the superstar on Indian cinema that a fan, Aneesh Nair, has decided to open an acting school, in her honour, in Chennai. Besides shaping young talents in the field of acting, the institute will also analyse Sridevi's success by studying her movies.

A source revealed, "The actress' movies are a part of the syllabus. Her style of dancing will be taught as well. The founder, Aneesh Nair, is in talks with reputed film schools as well as the actress' team to put together a concrete syllabus. Besides paying homage to her, the school will also give free acting coaching to underprivileged kids."

On her part, Sridevi has lent her support by lending her name to the institute. "She has been requested to inaugurate the school that kick-starts early next year. She may also be an honorary lecturer," added the source.

Nair plans to take his project to different cities. "He'll open branches in Hyderabad and Mumbai, followed by Delhi and Kolkata." When mid-day contacted Sridevi, the actor didn't divulge much about her involvement with the project, instead replying with a pithy, "I'm grateful to my fans for showering me with so much love."
