While some are busy poking fun at the incident, SRK fans have shown their support for the 46-year-old actor on the micro-blogging site.

"Aamir Khan to shoot a new episode of Satyamev Jayate on helpless people being afflicted by SRK," joked one Twitter user, while another parodied one of Shah Rukh's famous dialogues from "Devdas": "Airport wale kehte hain USA aana chhod do.. MCA waale kehte hain Wankhede aana chhod do.. Gauri kehti hai Mannat chhod do.."

Referring to Shah Rukh being banned from Wankhede, a user Tweeted, "Imagine the board outside Wankhede, dogs and srk not allowed inside..."

"Is Shirish Kunder actually the Wankhede guard who SRK allegedly slapped?" wrote a user referring to SRK's earlier brawl with the filmmaker.

"Five Srk related trending. New release around the corner kya?" said another Twitter user.

"People tend to forget that SRK & the security guard's frustration at Wankhede was mainly due to Yusuf Pathan's pitiful batting. Ban him," interpreted another user.

Some people also voiced their support for the actor saying that he was protecting his children. "A father is 1 who breaks the rules for their children. its proved again with @iamsrk At wankhede on MCA staff. respect u Shah rukh khan (sic)," said a fan. "Targetting srk for being a protective parent is ridiculous. Alleging he was drunk around kids even more so...," said another tweet. u00a0
