The actor starts bus with surgical facilities on board to spread cancer awareness in Mumbai slums
After losing several members of his family and friends to cancer, Suniel Shetty has started an initiative to raise awareness about cancer in the Mumbai slums.

The actor has started a mobile bus in the Jijamata slums and the vehicle runs several facilities for needy patients. The vehicle will be run with support from a city-based NGO.
A source says, “The initiative will spread awareness about the ailment in the slum and also has surgery facilities on board. Suniel feels it is part of his social responsibility.”
The actor and his team aim to educate people from weaker financial groups living in chawls. “Their fight mainly is against oral cancer amongst men and cervical and breast cancer amongst women.”
Says Suniel, “Every woman should go for check-ups regularly. A very close friend’s wife is a cancer survivor and an inspiration.”
We hear that the actor plans to expand his initiative in other bastis in the city and even outside.
The mobile unit will be flagged off at Jamboree Maidan on Saturday morning. u00a0
