India football captain Sunil Chhetri and fiancee Sonam Bhattacharya are all set to wed soon, depending on the schedule of Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League, it is learnt. Pictures of the couple's engagement ceremony, on Monday, went viral yesterday, with the stylish footballer, looking suave in his pink kurta-pyjama, going down on one knee for his partner, also shimmering in pink.

Sonam Bhattacharya is the daughter of Mohun Bagan great Subrata Bhattacharya. Chhetri had a fine ISL outing in the build-up to his engagement, where he scored in the team's 2-0 win over Mumbai City FC on Sunday. He however, did not celebrate the goal since it was against his former ISL club with which he played for two seasons. Chhetri reportedly flew out of Bengaluru to New Delhi on Sunday night itself for the engagement. The wedding will be held on December 4 in Kolkata, between Bengaluru's away matches against FC Goa and NorthEast United. The reception will be held on December 24 in Bengaluru.
