If the latest buzz is to be believed, Sushant Singh Rajput has been approached to endorse an international brand of luxury watches against a big, fat cheque — Rs 5 crore.

A source says, “It is a high-end brand and officials of the Canada-based company were looking for a fresh face to be part of their new campaign. In fact, they have been in talks with a few other actors before meeting Sushant’s team. He has been offered Rs 5 crore and shown interest in this deal.”
It is said that the company chose to approach him given that the actor will be playing the protagonist in the MS Dhoni biopic. Another source says, “Sushant is currently shooting for the film and the company wishes to complete their TV commercial as soon as possible. They will finalise the deal if he gives them dates right away. It is a lucrative offer and Sushant does not want to let it slip from his hands. He is now trying to accommodate dates as he has to travel a lot for the film’s shoot.”
An industry source, however, dismisses the buzz, saying: “Rs 5 crore for promoting a watch brand is hard to digest. Sushant’s brand value has taken a bit of a beating with his last film not doing well. So, it seems unlikely.”
