A 24-year-old youth, who tested positive for H1N1 virus, is being treated at city's Naidu Hospital

The deadly swine flu that has killed dozens of people globally has entered the city. Au00a0 24-year-old youth tested positive for the H1N1 virus yesterday. The youth, who hails from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and is working in Pune, was admitted to Naidu hospital on Saturday after he showedu00a0 symptoms of the flu. His blood and throat swabs were sent to National Institute of Virology (NIV) for tests.

Dr D V Barathe, superintendent of Naidu hospital, said, "The reports from NIV have confirmed that the youth is suffering from swine flu." He added that his condition is stable, and he is being given anti-viral tablet Tamiflu. Dr Barathe however refused to divulge any other detail pertaining to the patient.
