The elusive Tabu is expanding her horizons. Tired of her serious image, the actress wants to have some fun. Action plan No 1 is to get rid of her image as the sombre girl with two left feet.

Tabu has actually decided to do something about her dancing skills, or the rumoured lack of them. She has enrolled into dancer-choreographer Sandeep Soparrkar's dancing school to learn Salsa, ballroom dancing and other forms of contemporary dance.

Says a friend of the actress, "Tabu has always been a fun person. She has been unnecessarily saddled with this image of being serious. Tabu loves to dance. She has been doing so for years. Lately, she has decided to learn dance professionally."

When we contacted Soparrkar, he was hesitant to discuss Tabu's dance lessons. "She has taken some lessons," he admitted. "Then she stopped due to her travelling schedule. She's very good at dancing, she doesn't have two left feet at all. I suggested she explore her dancing skills in films, but Tabu dances to relax. She has requested that her visits be kept away from the public eye."

Interestingly, Tabu put forward a fine display of her dancing skills early in her career in Vijaypath. Remember Ruk ruk ruk? Thereafter she was saddled with the image of a no-nonsense woman.u00a0We'll probably see her hitting the night spots of Mumbai more frequently now.
