Get ready to attend the happiest music festival this weekend. With the NH7 Weekender becoming bigger and better this year, we give you a lowdown on what to expect from it and a list of things you should keep in mind while at the festival





The Dewarist Stage at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2010

Highlights of the festival
Over 50 artistes, 6 stages, 17 acres and three days of non-stop, unprecedented music. Each stage will feature a different genre of music. There's dance and Electronica at Eristoff Wolves Den; world, folk and eclectic music at The Dewarists Stage; Rock and Metal at Bacardi Black Rock Arena; singer-songwriters at The Other Stage; Reggae and Drum and Bass at Pepsi Dub Station; and a very special finale performance at the Bacardi Together Stage.

The international headliners are Imogen Heap (The Dewarists stage) and a DJ set by Felix from Basement Jaxx (Eristoff Wolves Den).

Pepsi Dub Station
The Pepsi Dub Station brings in dancehall vibes with Dubstep, Drum 'n' Bass and Reggae through the day. Dubstep and Drum 'n' Bass is the future of the dance scene and it is picking up swiftly in India and around the world. The line-up at this stage includes Gumnaam (Netherlands /London), The Ska Vengers (New Delhi), Dakta Dub (Hyderabad), Bay Beat Collective (Mumbai, Taal Inc (Pune), Mo, Humble The Poet and Monica Dogra (Delhi /UK/ Mumbai) and others.

The Other Stage
Here's where you go to catch raw, acoustic talent from the smashing singer-songwriters and young bands. Names include Alisha Batth (Mumbai), Alisha Pais (Mumbai), Imphal Talkies (Manipur/Delhi), Fire Exit (New Delhi) and Ayush Shreshta (Mumbai).

Bacardi Together Stage
The Bacardi Together Stage features a special performance curated by Indian-American producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Karsh Kale.

Dos
It's going to be a music m ufffdlange at the festival. So, we suggest you wear comfortable footwear. There's going to be loads of jumping and walking around because of the high energy music and number of stages spread across the festival.
Make sure you keep yourself hydrated and stuffed with food. Head to the many food stalls that that you will find at the venue including Arc Asia, Gostana, Prem's, The Bagel Shop, Oye Punjabi, Marrakesh and Yoghurt Bay.
For the ladies, the festival is going to be a one-stop shop for accessories, clothes and loads of fun elements. Shop to your heart's content at Quirk Box, CheapSex, NH7 merchandise, Play Clan, Pop-Att and Bombay Duck Designs.

Don'ts
Festivals are supposed to be fun, so make sure you have your fun and let others do too. But if you mess around then make be ready to face the music: The men from Sharp Edge Security Services are there to handle you.
Please do no litter. There might be people who know you at the festival and don't be surprised if you find the litter on your doorstep the next day. Use the dustbin.
Respect the artiste on the stage. We know you love taking pictures, but make sure you don't use flash or distract the audience with your over-enthusiasm.
