Talk the talk at India Design Forum

Gear up to open your mind to the world’s best think tanks when it comes to design. With heap loads to catch while the weekend starts, make sure that you clock in on Renny Ramakers of Droog Studio, who would be presenting her personal view on design.

The narrow house by Jakub Szczesny

From transforming residue of companies to innovating on local contexts, she is a pioneer in change. As a Mumbaikar, Jakub Szczesny’s designs would definitely ring a bell. Go meet the man who achieved the feat of creating the world’s narrowest house, which is now a major tourist destination in Warsaw, Poland.

After being dazzled by steely designs of common objects by Subodh Gupta, plug in to ‘the Damien Hirst of Delhi’. The artist will be in conversation with Stephanie Romanov.

Architect Rahul Mehrotra

The chat featuring Rahul Mehrotra is an absolute must; after all, he not only revamped urban land but has also been at the helm of historic preservation. Mumbai’s heritage precinct of Fort was declared a conservation site due to Mehrotra’s efforts. Day two will also host a series of workshops while we recommend placing your bets on the one by THINK that would focus on waste and the Indian Railways.

The India Design Forum will encompass twenty speakers from several design disciplines, workshops, panel discussions and a car rally. The event will culminate with the announcement of DesignBoom Awards on Saturday.
