Salem (TN): A 60-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two minor girls at Kitchipalayam in the district.
Police said the children, both aged five, were playing in front of their house at MLC colony in the town last evening when the man enticed them to his house by offering sweets and sexually assaulted them.

The children told their parents about it, following which the man was apprehended and taken to a police station. He was arrested and booked under Section 5(M) and 6 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The man was produced before a local court last night and the magistrate remanded him to 16 days custody, they said.
