Tanuja feels her children have a mind of their own and she does not feel the need to interfere in that.

Asked if Kajol should take up film direction, Tanuja told reporters, "Why? My children have a mind of their own.

Kajol has a mind of her own. When she decides to take up direction she will I guess. But I don't have any say in that."

The actress was speaking today at the launch of Honey Trehan and filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey's production company MacGuffin Pictures.

The duo is producing their first venture, "A Death in the Gunj", which marks the directorial debut of actress Konkona Sen Sharma.

Tanuja, who stars in the film, said she is an admirer of Konkona's work.

"The one person whose performance I've always enjoyed is Koko (Konkona). I've been in this industry for a long time, I've heard a lot of scripts but she is the only director who has narrated the script to me and I've closed my eyes and was able to visualise the entire film."

Asked whose work she admires among the male actors of today, Tanuja said, "I don't really look at them very much... I think they all are very talented and nice."

"A Death in the Gunj" will go on floors on January 25. It also stars ensemble of actors like Vikrant Massey, Kalki Koechlin, Gulshan Devaiah and Om Puri besides Tillotama Shome and Konkona's estranged husband Ranvir Shorey.
