Thane CP blames company
Param Bir Singh, Commissioner of Police, Thane, blamed the firm for negligence. He said that the company was dealing with a huge amount of cash on daily basis but they didn’t inform the police about it. “We have registered a case and a joint team of local police along with crime branch and extortion cell are working on it,” Singh said.

The Thane crime branch later received CCTV footage from a nearby school and shops in the lane and got confirmation about three cars used in the robbery. “There were three cars two Eco and a Xylo. The Xylo seems to have a tourist number plate,” added a crime branch officer. The cops are suspecting an insider’s role in the robbery.
