The 'bullion'aires raise a toast to Ashish Shelar

A gathering of gold and diamond merchants under the tutelage of Shanti Gold, got together at a suburban hotel to honour Ashish Shelar, Mumbai president of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), last weekend

Ashish Shelar is known for his dedicated efforts towards the betterment of the underprivileged and developing community projects, which help generate livelihood for hundreds and thousands through his programmes at the NGO, Spandan. The organisation works for children, women and tribal people. 
The gathering showered accolades on Shelar at the event, which coincided with his 41st birthday. He said, “I am very touched by this affectionate and thoughtful gesture.”

The media shy politico was visibly moved as the birthday cake was brought out in an impromptu ceremony, moderated by Viveck Shettyy, Vikas Bhalla sang the birthday song in the presence of Mohit Kamboj, President, The Bombay Bullion Association Ltd., stand-up comedian Umesh Pherwani and Rakesh Paul.
