The cheesy affair
Attend a workshop at Godrej Nature's Basket where chef Sanjib Das will showcase various recipes that can be made using cheese as a primary ingredient
Monsoon has arrived and so if you are in the mood to indulge in cheesy delicacies, head to Godrej Nature’s Basket. They have organised a cheese festival where chef Sanjib Das from Terttulia will be conducting a workshop on June 21 at the Nature’s Basket store at Aundh.
The chef will be showcasing different recipes in which cheese is primarily used. “In the All Things Cheese workshop, I will be demonstrating how to make three different types of desserts made with cheese and also recipes for Green Apple and Feta Salad, Smoked Salmon and Gruyere Sandwich,” said Chef Sanjib.
He added that different varieties of cheese are used in the recipes and the best one for the season is Soft Cheese like Philadelphia Cream Cheese. >> Castor Sugar 40 gm
>> Rich cream 150 ml
>> Vanilla essence 5 ml
>> Plain flour 40 gm
>> 4 Eggs
>> Cookie crumbs 175 gm
>> Melted butter 3 tbsp
For the Filling –
>> Blue berry mix 100 gm
Preheat the oven to 170 degree centigrade, line a nine inch baking ring with silver foil and grease, combine cookie crumbs, butter with hand. Press the crumbs on to the bottom of ring and bake for seven minutes. In a large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat cream cheese and cream, then beat in another bowl sugar and eggs. Fold the cheese mixture in the eggs stirring. Add flour and Vanilla essence, pour the cheese mixture onto the crust, add blue berry mix and bake until cheese cake is set.
