The modest man

At a recent event, cricketer Rahul Dravid was at his naughty best. India's Mr. Dependable said, "As a young cricketer representing my school, I used to think that I was quite good.

Then, once we went to play a zonal match at Cuttack. There I saw Sachin Tendulkar for the first time in the nets. And I was amazed. I told myself, “Buddy, you have a long way to go”. Playing with him has been a privilege.

Even if my grandchildren don’t remember the fact that I scored 10,000 runs in Test and ODI cricket, I am confident that they will remember that Sachin Tendulkar used to be my team-mate.” We must say you are extremely modest, Rahul!
